A church service is where Christian service begins. It’s where we learn of God’s generosity, and share God’s blessing with those around us.
The Parish of Bengeo elects a charity to support every year. We invite speakers to church to talk to us about their work, remain informed of their plans and the difference they’re making, and support them with our prayers and with our money.
We support The Children’s Society at regular events throughout the year – coffee mornings and parish socials – as well as a special Children’s Society Christingle Service held on Advent Sunday, an annual highlight.
Our interest in national and international charities extends our vision to Christian social action around the country and around the world. In recent years hundreds of pounds and hundreds of prayers have been offered for a wide variety of good causes: The British Red Cross, Young Minds, Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice, Isabel Hospice, Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity, Safer Places.
